Raising the Swing!!!

Well the swing we got Michelle last year for her birthday is finally up. Chris and Gordon spent the morning working on it.. They got it all the way standing and then I pointed out it was backwards. The bolt heads were facing the fence and the ends out. It just looked bad. They switched it...

Bad few days......

Wow this weekend has been boring......... Being Memorial Day Weekend it was long. It was very hot. Saturday Gordon and Fred went to and got the wood and cut it for Michelle's swing frame. Then Gordon and I took it over to the house. That was it for Saturday. Sunday we had to grocery shop for Mom. Then hit Lowe's for Mom. Then go see Mom. I also had to get payroll done at work. Then at 7 I ran to check on Michelle and Gavin because she said he was very fussy and they were both tired. I stayed til she put him down at 8. It was nice to get a few cuddles in... All I did today was shop at target for an hour with Michelle and Gavin. It was so hot in the store.

I also got my feelings hurt by Mom(she is never satisfied). It is just my luck to keep getting kicked while I am down.....

Lunch With the Michelles......

I picked up Gavin today from daycare to meet up with Michelle. She has an elderly couple that love to see him. We ended up meeting with Michelle K. and having lunch at Cheddars. It was really good. I love the Monte Cristo. We shared the Giant Cookie desert too. YUMMY!! Gavin was a bit fussy and hung out in his stroller was all the traffic go by.

My Baby Turns 26 In Four Days...........

Today was alot of fun. Gordon and I drove to see Melissa in Euless for her Birthday. A bit early but we took the day off so we could go on a week day. We took her to lunch at Red Hot and Blue(a BBQ place). It was really good. We all split a blackberry cobbler for desert. Gordon ate the most. LOL No chocolate in it. After lunch we drove around and then went to the Bass Pro Shop. Melissa and I got Capris and we found 2 cute T's for Gavin. Gordon got another knife for his collection. After that we went to Southlake shopping. On the way back home we stopped off at Tanger Outlet Mall. We hit the Kitchen store and the Rocky Mt. Chocolate factory. We got home about 6:30. What a long day.

Great weekend even if it was BUSY!!!

Saturday Michelle, Chris, Ethan & Gavin came for breakfast. Finally found something Ethan eats. Pancakes.. Then Michelle and Chris took Ethan to see the Chronicles of Narnia. Gordon and I watched Gavin. He was so funny. He loves to swing on the swing. He took an hour nap. We met the gang at Sam's to shop. Gavin has discovered he can lean forward in his stroller and touch more..LOL Then while Michelle and gang went to Walmart we watched Gavin again and then I took him to their house. It was a long day for all. But I enjoyed it..

Sunday Gordon went to Mom's to drop stuff off and take her trash out adn take groceries I forgot to take to Michelle's to them. At 1 I headed to get Miichelle and take her to the Stampin' up Class to meet Michelle K. It was busy but fun. I was a bit slower because I strayed away from the pages made by the consultant. Michelle said I was being a rebel. We both ran out of adhesive. AGH!! We were the first to arrive and the last to leave. Cchris brought Gavin to us at 4:30 when he was heading to take Ethan home. Then off we went to take Michelle and Gavin home. I finished adhering pieces while I watched the Music Awards. Now to just get pictures on them...

Very Busy Week

My Mom had a laminectomy(decompression Surgery) on Monday. Gordon and I were both off to take her. Only one of us could go in teh pre-op room so it was me. We ended up there for 2 hours. Then we were told that they would be in surgery for 1.5 - 2 hours and to go get lunch. So we did. The call came that they were starting as we arrived at Chilis. Then 30 minutes later the Dr called to tell us he was done and it took less time. He said she would be in recovery about an hour. So we raced back to the Hospital. almost 3 hours later they had her in a room. Her maneer's (Dizziness) had apparently acted up from rolling her around and she was terribly dizzy and not in a good mood from it. Needless to say she didn't get to come home Tuesday as planned. She ended up staying til Thursday. Gordon took a long lunch and picked her up and met me at her house. Then we went to lunch at Bodacious, dropped off her prescription and then he went back to work and so did I for a couple hours then back to check on her. Amazingly the only problem seems to be the dizziness still a bit. She says the pain is a 2 on a scale of 1-10.

I took time wednesday to get Gavin from school and take him home to Chris. I wanted to see Michelle's new scrappy room in person. I really like her new room. Chris did a great job. I stayed about an hour playing with Gavin.

Friday I got Gavin from school and we hung out a bit and then went to Petland which is next to Michael's where we were meeting Michelle. He held his first bunny, tried to catch the gold fish in the tank and chatted with the BIG birds. He had so much to say to them all. The bunny holding went great until he decided to eat his ears...LOL Then we met Michelle and shopped at Michael's with our 20% off coupons. :) Then we hit Big Lots.... It was alot of fun... Gavin loves his stroller...

16 Week Challenge Week #2 - Likes/Dislikes

This is my layout for week #2 of Barb's 16 week challenge. The topic is Likes/Dislikes. Since this was on my mind all week I chose to scrap it. We have a crazy neighbor that spent her week planting a monkey grass fence between our homes. Along with that she planted a bush right at the fence and a tree in front of her window. This is all in the space between our homes that is only about 10 feet wide. We just spent $950 trimming trees to get sun there to grow grass and now she does this.
